Weather runs on Open-Meteo, which was chosen for one reason: it does not want a credit card. The obvious alternative asks for one even on its free tier, and a desk display that demands a card before it can tell you whether to take a coat has failed at the first thing it does.
It picks up the location the device already knows, so on most installs there is nothing to type. If you would rather be explicit, give it a place name and it resolves that; if you want it exact, give it a latitude and longitude.
What it shows scales with the tile. Small, it is conditions and a temperature. Larger, it opens out into wind, chance of rain, UV, sunrise and sunset, and a forecast for the days ahead.

Nothing to install.
Weather ships with Perch. Clone the repo, run the installer, open the console from your laptop or phone, and drag the tile where you want it — the desk screen follows as you drag. If the tile you want is not one of the eight, a widget is one folder of about forty lines and the agent in your terminal can write it.
